State-of-the-art maximum-security male prison to improve community safety and reduce recidivism.
Revamped to accommodate the increasing prison population, the maximum-security male prison in Victoria will house 1,248 prisoners, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for maximum security. In addition, the facility will have new education, health and recreation facilities, helping to reduce recidivism and improve community safety.
AGM Construction Supplies is prioritising social responsibility during construction, with the employment of disadvantaged, marginalised and young workers, along with sourcing 90% of the materials from Australia and New Zealand. The prison will have eight prisoner communities, each with 78-bed units and be situated near the existing Barwon Prison Precinct.
